Viva La SALSA!
I took 2 days of leave to go for the Malaysian Salsa Festival! It was held at Legend Beach Resort in Pahang, Malaysia. The event was awesome!!! It was 3 days worth of hardcore fun! There was a nightly dance party from 11pm-3am followed by a pool party to dawn! This was in addition to the afternoon workshops and performances. My team, Caderas Latinas Singapore, performed 2 times. Kudos to the local and international Salseros who put up great performances:)
For those we have never heard of Salsa, let me give you a brief introduction of it. Salsa is a Latin partner dance.It is generally characterised by hip isolations and sexy body movements. The dance steps originated from Son and Mambo and but has influences from other dance forms such as Cha Cha, Rumba, Jazz and Hip hop.
I am so glad I slept for 9 hours yesterday, if not, i would have appeared zombie-like at work today:)
